2021 — Risk assessment: automating to strengthen control
With nearly 150 sites in France, Elis was facing a major regulatory challenge: the annual update of the risk assessment document (DUERP). This particularly time-consuming task required significant resources and resulted in strong heterogeneity in the quality of deliverables.
Solution implemented
In partnership with VPWhite and through the capabilities of the Enablon platform, a customised module was designed to enable simplified field data entry and automatic generation of the risk assessment documents.
Results
- More than 600 DUERP generated automatically in 4 years
- Harmonisation of practices across 150 sites
- Operational time savings and ensured compliance
2022 — Chemistry module: managing chemical products
Elis’s core activity involves the daily handling of chemical products. This operational reality required a robust solution capable of ensuring full traceability and a reliable risk assessment, at both local and central level.
Solution implemented
A Chemistry module was developed to enable real-time tracking of products used, inventories and chemical risk assessments.
Results
- 3,500 approved products
- 50 inventories carried out
- 70 chemical risk assessments generated
- Strengthened traceability and improved visibility of risk
2023 — Metrics: providing decision-makers with a strategic vision
After automating regulatory processes, Elis wanted to take a further step: turning EHS data into a management tool.
Solution implemented
Deployment of the Metrics module, centralising key safety indicators in a real-time dashboard. Data is now automatically consolidated, allowing leadership teams to manage OHS performance accurately.

- 70 OHS indicators collected each month and per site
- Reliable and automated reporting
- Faster decision-making and simplified management
2024 — Event management: harmonising and simplifying
The management of safety incidents and events is a critical area for Elis.
The challenge was twofold: provide an intuitive tool for field teams and integrate local regulatory requirements across several European countries.

- More than 50,000 events recorded in less than one year
- Harmonised processes at European level

2025 — User experience: reducing friction, increasing impact
Once the modules were deployed, Elis wanted to go further by redesigning the user experience. The objective: make the tool truly seamless, drastically reducing time spent on data entry.

Thanks to Enablon’s native functionalities and the add-ons developed by VPWhite, processes were simplified and automated.
