On 23 September 2025, we held the very first edition of the EHS Forward Day in Lyon at the InterContinental – Hotel Dieu. A unique event dedicated to EHS professionals looking to optimise their use of the Enablon solution and explore new opportunities in EHS risk management.

On the agenda: concrete case studies, live demonstrations, and presentations of technological innovations, particularly around the future EHS AI Agents.

Participants had the opportunity to compare practices, expand their network, and take away innovative solutions to enhance their business processes.

Inspiring client stories

The morning was devoted to a series of highly valuable client testimonies, illustrating the diversity of EHS challenges across different industries:

SATS: a reimagined investigation process

Peter HUNT and Rita TIWARI explained how SATS reinvented its investigation process to achieve greater clarity, speed up root cause identification, and ensure faster, more reliable preventive actions.

Their presentation covered:
  • The investigation process implemented at SATS
  • The integration of this process within the Enablon application
  • How employees use the tool to carry out investigations and generate reports

ELIS: enhanced EHS dashboards

Our expert Damien DUFOUR presented how Elis optimised its EHS dashboards to deliver real-time information, enabling more impactful, data-driven decisions.

Key points included:
  • Dashboard design
  • New functionalities implemented by VPWhite to make them more user-friendly and improve navigation

MOL: a continuous product methodology

Ágnes FÜLEP and Máté DEVECSERI demonstrated how their team applies a product methodology to ensure the continuous evolution of their Enablon solution, combining governance, prioritisation, and delivery efficiency.

Highlights included:
  • The methodology used to implement continuous developments within Enablon
  • The governance process enabling prioritisation, development, testing, and production release

KUEHNE + NAGEL: a robust and digitalised audit process

Christophe LETROUVÉ illustrated how Kuehne + Nagel deployed a robust audit process fully integrated into Enablon, helping employees conduct audits effectively and produce actionable reports.

Key takeaways:
  • The audit process implemented at Kuehne + Nagel
  • Full integration within the Enablon application
  • Practical use of the tool by teams to perform audits and generate reports

These case studies highlighted the importance optimised digital tools, combined with EHS expertise and tailored methodologies, can standardise practices, accelerate decision-making, and better anticipate risks on a daily basis.

Enablon solutions supporting Operational Risk Management (ORM)

The afternoon session gave Enablon teams the opportunity to present two essential pillars of operational risk management (ORM):

  • Process Safety Management: how to structure and digitalise process safety to reduce major risks
  • Control of Work: a module designed to secure on-site operations and better coordinate stakeholders

These presentations demonstrated Enablon’s ability to address critical operational safetychallenges by combining regulatory compliance with operational performance.

Artificial Intelligence, a new lever for EHS

The day concluded with the presentation of EHS AI Agents by VPWhite. These intelligent agents enhance the Enablon ecosystem by providing new capabilities in analysis, recommendations, and automation, paving the way for AI-augmented EHS management.

By facilitating anomaly detection, accelerating incident investigation, and proposing corrective actions, these innovative solutions position artificial intelligence as a strategic ally for EHS leaders.

More AI-driven innovations are on the horizon, and we will be sure to keep you informed of our latest developments!

A space for exchange and collaboration

Beyond the content, EHS Forward Day proved to be a genuine meeting and sharing platform. Informal discussions allowed participants to create new synergies throughout the day and to identify common solutions to their challenges.

Conclusion: moving towards augmented EHS transformation

By combining real-life case studies, technological demonstrations, and groundbreaking innovations, EHS Forward Day confirmed a shared conviction: EHS risk management has traditionally relied on the alliance of business expertise and technology. Managing these risks now requires human innovation, AI integration, and effective change management.

In a context where organisations must combine safety, performance, and sustainability, this event demonstrated that risk management can now be transformed into a lever for sustainable value creation— supporting the core mission of EHS leaders: ensuring that every employee returns home safely.

"Thanks to the expertise of our speakers, we are delighted to have presented best practices and innovative solutions in the EHS landscape. The experiences and exchanges shared during this event helped make it a real success and a source of inspiration for us all. We are already looking forward to organising the next edition."
